What keeps you going? How to make bright music for dark times? Do you ever second think about these words?
— roberto, brasil

Roberto,

I second guess them every time I read them back, like now. But I don't really think about them often, to be honest mostly other people bring it back to my attention. However, I do still think they are cool because they speak the truth. I like truth. The truth -I think- is that we are living in dark times, and it seems to me people that hear what I make seem to find some sort of brightness in it, a sort of hope. I only say this because they have expressed it to me. So I didn't come up with those words as much as I paid attention to what others said and then put it together with the context I felt the music lived in. It makes my heart full that I can make something that gives hope, or that is perceived as bright and luminous. I am no one to judge that or to second-guess it. I think it's important both to illuminate as in reveal what is: truth, see everything as is, the darkness and all it holds, and also illuminate in a more symbolic way, to bring light that feels like warmth and hope.

And what keeps me going? I’d lie if I told you I know. When I feel low and like I cant keep going anymore I think about riding a bike, as long as you keep pedaling you won't fall. And so I keep pedaling.

Ela.
